It's A Barenaked Spree!

Naked Barenaked Ladies
...not necessarily redundant
I've cycled back into listening to the Barenaked Ladies almost exclusively lately. This cycle seems to come to me every other month. It usually lasts for 'one week' or so and 'everything old is new again' for me. There's been some barenaked activity lately that's helped inspire this latest listening round.

iTunes released a version of their "iTunes Originals" series that features BNL last Tuesday. I've already listened to it countless times. The interview bits are great, and the exclusive live versions of 9 songs, plus the extra not-yet-released, "I Can, I Will, I Do" really put this over-the-top for me. Although I've heard a few live versions of the song, this version, along with all the "iTunes Original" versions, was recorded live within Steven Page's home studio.

Honestly though, I'd been looking for a good excuse to put a picture of five naked grown men on my blog.

Another cool new Barenaked Lady development has been the new Jello commercial featuring Ed Robertson singing the "Wiggle" song. I had to laugh when I found this blog entry:
I need to vent: That jello commercial Is anyone else annoyed by that new jello commercial? I think orange jello looks gross, not to mention the whole set and actors are dressed in orange...then you have them jiggling and shaking their butts at you. That tune about jiggling while you're wiggling is annoying..."Jiggle and a Wigglin' free, in a Wiggle and Jigglin' spree." So what if I jiggle while I wiggle...which I don't do much wiggling..but if I did--what's it to you? Really though, is this commercial supposed to make you crave jello? It just makes me change the channel.

Awww, don't dis my man Ed!

I was able to come across some audio of the "Wiggle" song in that commercial that isn't heard in the actual TV spot:
Wiggle (edit)

Hope you dig the clip! It made me feel better about my own songs, "Monkeys", "Woof Woof Moo", and even "The Jellybean Incident", which I'd like to think are just as silly and fun.

Awww, I love you. I had no idea that you put a link to my blog on here! Now I love Bare Naked Ladies, and I had no idea that they sing that jello song. I still hate the commercial though. And "If I had a million dollars..." I would so take it off the air.

Ps. You have now earned a spot on my links to blogs I love on "I need to vent."

Sweet. Feel the love!

I thought I was supposed to vent, but actually everyone was telling me to get bent.

Thanks for link! It's always cool to hear from another blogger.

Ahh, yes you can surely vent on my blog...but it seems that no one else does that but me there.

I also vent about good things...not just bad, annoying pet peeves. I like to mix it up. ;)

How can I get a copy of the Jell-o Wiggle song? Please! I happen to love it, but I do wiggle a lot. :-)I'm not proud of it, but I love this song. It makes my little kids wiggle and dance and a momma needs that kind of thing in the living room from time to time.
i have been searching the internet for weeks and I want to tell the others that I may have found the artist finally! Yea! ->wiggles>

Man, I can't believe the traffic I'm getting on this post. Especially a post that's over a month old.

Long story short...
You can download the clip I offered on the post, but I can't make the full song available for download.

Sorry to disappoint.

Keep wiggling though!

Anybody else know why BNL don't seem to be talking about this?

CJ, Seriously! I get 100 hits a day just because of your post to my blog about the jello song. So I heard the clip you have, but what I am looking for is the actual lyrics, can you email them to me if you know them?

Does the wiggle song have an actual name? Has it been released anywhere? Any additional information would be greatly appreciated. Please, please, please...

Sorry guys.....another wiggle song lover. As a songster I think it's brilliant. As a performer it's a definite song to have for kids. As a teacher my classes are gonna dig this one. If any one has any other songs that have the same effect on kids bring 'em on. But in defense of you that don't like this song, I'm sure it'll wear off the more I hear it. Good tunes are usually like that.
